[Finished] Shootin In Space is a 2D space shooter, which was developed and finished in 2020.
The main reason for the game’s development was to learn how to optimize thousands of bullets flying on the screen. This was where I learned what object pooling is. You control your spaceship (or red arrow as I like to call it) by moving your mouse. You can destroy asteroids and get power-ups, which last for a limited amount of time. Some of the power-ups include more health, more ammo and a shield. The main objective is to survive as long as you can. Your progress is tracked on the bottom left corner of the screen.
